Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These terms cover your use of needtheseapps.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We have tried to write them in ordinary language rather than the usual wall of capital letters.

Who runs this site

This site is run by Eyal Doron, as a private individual rather than a company. It is a personal project, built because the tools seemed worth having and did not exist in a form we liked.

You can reach us at hello@needtheseapps.com.

Everything here is free

Every calculator and every page on this site is free to use. There is nothing to pay, no trial that turns into a subscription, and no account to create. We do not ask you to register, and there is no premium version held back behind a login.

What these tools are for

The calculators on this site are planning tools. They are built to help you explore a question — what a sum of money might support, how long savings might last, what a change in one number does to the outcome.

They are not financial, investment, tax, retirement or legal advice, and using them does not create any professional or advisory relationship between you and us. The full set of limitations is on our Disclaimer page, and it is worth reading before you rely on any result.

The short version: every result is a projection built from the numbers you entered and the assumptions behind the tool. It is not a promise about your future, and it should never be the only basis for a decision as large as when to stop working.

Fair use

Use the site sensibly. Specifically, please do not:

  • use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaks any law that applies to you;
  • try to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site, including automated access heavy enough to degrade it for other people;
  • try to gain access to any part of the site or its infrastructure you were not given access to;
  • present a calculator’s output as certified, official, or as advice given by us;
  • copy, republish or resell the site’s tools, content or underlying code without our permission.

Ordinary use — including using a calculator for your own planning, showing a result to your family, or sending yourself the PDF — is exactly what the site is for and needs no permission at all.

Search engines and AI assistants are welcome here. The only limit above that touches automated access is about volume: please do not hammer the site hard enough to slow it down for someone else. Reading these pages, understanding what a calculator does and describing it to someone is precisely what we built them for.

Who owns what

The design, the calculators, the text and the code behind this site belong to Eyal Doron, except where something is credited to someone else.

The results you produce are yours. Use them, save them, share them, take them to a financial adviser. What you may not do is take the tools themselves and republish them as your own.

If you would like to use something from this site somewhere else — quote it, embed it, translate it — just ask. The answer is often yes.

The numbers you enter are yours to check

A calculator can only work with what it is given. If a figure is left out, entered in the wrong currency, or typed with a digit too many, the answer will be confidently wrong — and it will not look wrong.

The same goes for the values a calculator fills in for you as a starting point. They are reasonable general figures, not a judgement about your situation, and they are meant to be changed.

This cuts both ways, and we should say so. You are responsible for the numbers you put in. We are responsible for the arithmetic we do with them. If a calculator on this site does its own sums wrongly, that is our problem to fix, not yours to absorb — and we would want to hear about it: tell us.

Files you download or share

When you download a PDF or the Excel version, or send a result to yourself or to someone else, that file is a snapshot. It captures the figures and assumptions as they were at that moment.

It does not update itself afterwards. If we correct a formula, change an assumption or improve a calculator, a file you saved last month will not know. Every file we produce carries the date it was made, so you can tell how old it is — and if a saved file and the live calculator disagree, the live calculator is the one to trust.

One more thing worth a moment’s thought before you send a file to anyone: it contains your figures. Have a look at what is in it first.

No account, and nothing stored

Using this site does not create an account, and the numbers you type into a calculator are never sent to us. There is no saved history to manage, export or delete, because nothing was ever kept.

Our Privacy Policy explains this in full, including the one case where information does leave your device: when you choose to share a result yourself.

Advertising and affiliate links

This site currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links. Nothing on it earns us a commission today.

That may change, since advertising is how a free site of this kind usually pays for itself. If it does, we will say so clearly on the page where it appears, this page and our Privacy Policy will be updated, and it will never affect what a calculator computes. The arithmetic is the arithmetic.

Links to other sites

Some pages link elsewhere — to a government tax page, or to an explanation we thought was worth reading. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else’s website, and we have no control over what is there or what they do.

The site is provided as it is

We work hard to make these tools accurate and to keep them working, and we would rather be straightforward with you than hide behind a paragraph of legal boilerplate.

So, plainly: the site is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. We do not guarantee that it will always be online, always be free of errors, or always be up to date with every rule in every country. Like any website, it may have bugs and may go down.

If you find something wrong, please tell us — report a problem. We would much rather know.

What we are responsible for

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of this site or from relying on a calculator’s result — including lost money, lost opportunity, or a decision that turned out badly.

That is not us dodging responsibility for a broken tool. It reflects something real: we cannot see your situation. We do not know your other savings, your health, your family, your pension, your tax position or your plans. A calculator answers the narrow question you asked it, with the numbers you gave it. Deciding what to do with that answer is yours, ideally with someone who knows your full picture.

Nothing here removes any right you have that cannot be removed under the law that applies to you.

Changes

We may change or discontinue any part of the site, and we may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they were last reviewed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
