Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
The short version
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful, but only if you click Accept. If you click Deny, or do not answer at all, nothing is measured and nothing is sent to Google.
There is no advertising on this site and nothing that follows you to other websites.
The numbers you type into a calculator are worked out inside your own browser and are never sent to us or to Google. That is true whatever you choose in the cookie window. The one exception is when you choose to share a result yourself, and that is explained below.
Change your choice at any time
You can change or withdraw your choice here, whenever you like:
Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing. Nothing on this site stops working if you say no.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep. When you come back, the browser hands it over again, so the site can recognise a returning visit or remember a setting.
Browsers can also keep small amounts of data in other ways, for example in what is called local storage. This page covers all of it, because what matters is whether something is kept on your device, not what it is called. We checked: this site keeps nothing in local storage.
What is stored on your device
We checked this in a browser with no history of the site, on 23 September 2026. This is the complete list.
Always, because the site needs them
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| pll_language | This site | Remembers which language version of the site you are reading. | 1 year |
| __cf_bm | Our hosting provider’s security service | Helps tell real visitors apart from automated bots. It does not identify you. | Up to 30 minutes |
| cmplz_* (several) | This site | Remembers what you chose in the cookie window, so we do not ask you again on every page. | 1 year |
| nta_lang_hint | This site | Remembers that you chose, or declined, another language version of the site, so the offer is not shown again. | 1 year |
| wp_consent_* (several) | This site | Passes your choice to the parts of the site that need to respect it, such as Google Analytics. | 30 days |
Only if you click Accept
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells Google Analytics that two visits came from the same browser, so we can count visitors rather than page loads. | About 13 months |
| _ga_9BHL4XR5VC | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a single visit, so we can see how long people stay and which pages they read. | About 13 months |
None of these is used for advertising, and none of them follows you to other websites.
What Google Analytics sees, if you accept
Google Analytics tells us things like how many people visited, which pages they opened, roughly which country they came from, what kind of device they used, and how they found the site. We use this to learn which calculators and explanations are useful and which are not.
It never receives the numbers you type into a calculator. Those stay in your browser.
Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. If you click Deny, the Google Analytics code is not loaded at all, so nothing reaches Google from your visit.
Your calculator entries
When you enter your savings, a monthly amount, a return rate or a tax rate, those numbers are used by code running inside your browser. They are not sent to us, not stored in a cookie, and not written into the address of the page.
Close the tab and they are gone. Refresh the page and you start again. There is no account, no saved history, and nothing to delete, because there was never anything kept.
We designed it this way on purpose. We have no use for your financial figures, and the safest thing to do with information you do not need is never to receive it.
When you choose to share a result
Every calculator has buttons that let you send your result somewhere. What happens next depends on which one you press, and it is worth knowing the difference.
- WhatsApp. This opens WhatsApp with a message already written for you, and your figures are part of the web address that opens it. That means they reach WhatsApp’s servers as soon as the button is pressed, before you send anything. This is how sharing to WhatsApp works everywhere on the web, not something specific to this site. If you would rather your figures did not go to WhatsApp, use a different button.
- Email. This opens your own email program with the message ready. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else until you press send yourself.
- Download as PDF. The file is built inside your browser and saved to your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Download the Excel version. This is one ready-made file, the same for everyone. It contains no information about you.
In every case, the choice is yours and nothing happens until you make it.
Advertising
This site shows no advertising. There is no advertising network, no social media tracking pixel, and no session recording.
If that ever changes, you will be asked first, nothing will be loaded until you have chosen, and this page will be updated before it goes live. We will not switch something on quietly and update this page afterwards.
How to remove or block anything stored
Besides the button above, every browser lets you view, delete and block stored data, usually under Settings, in a section named Privacy.
Blocking everything will not stop the calculators working. They do not depend on anything being stored.
Browsing in a private or incognito window has a similar effect: everything is discarded when you close it.
Other sites we link to
Some pages link to other websites, for example to a government page or to an explanation we thought was worth reading. Once you follow a link, you are on somebody else’s website and their rules apply, not ours. We have no control over what they store on your device.
Changes to this policy
If what this site stores changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top tells you when it was last reviewed.
