Is there a calculation you keep doing by hand, or a question no calculator here answers clearly? Write and tell us. That is how these started.
How these calculators are built
- Your figures never reach us. The arithmetic runs inside your browser. Close the tab and it is gone.
- Plain language before jargon. “The money you receive each month”, not “net periodic distribution”. The technical term is there too, explained.
- Assumptions are shown, not hidden. You can see every figure the calculator is using and change any of them.
- Limits are stated. A steady annual return is a simplification: real markets are not steady, and the order of good and bad years matters. Each calculator says so where it matters, not only in the small print.
Before you rely on a result
These are planning tools, not advice. They cannot see your pension, your health, your family or your tax position, and a decision as large as when to stop working deserves someone who can. Use a calculator to understand the shape of the question, then take it to a professional who knows your full picture.
